Introduction:
With an aim to inspire creativity and foster enjoyment and appreciation of art, the World Children Art Awards offers a unique platform for children and teenagers to share their love for art and showcase their artistic talents.
Theme:
Celebration of Festivals
As a fusion of east and west, Hong Kong celebrates both traditional and western festivals. Meanwhile, a wide variety of festivals and holidays are celebrated around the world, showcasing unique lifestyle and culture. Let’s share with us your favorite festival!
Section:
Children or teenagers aged 14 years old or younger are invited to join the competition in the designated section below.

Painting and Chinese Painting
Size:
Artwork can be drawn with any painting materials. The artwork (for both painting or Chinese painting) must be two dimensional and drawn on the paper no larger than A3 size (420 x 297mm), either in horizontal or vertical format.

Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up
Gold (10%), Silver (15%), Bronze (20%)
Creative Award (5%)
A certificate of participation will be presented to all other participants.

WCACA Art Education Excellence Award
Gold (35 or more prize winners with at least 3 Gold Awards or above)
Silver (25 or more prize winners with at least 2 Gold Awards or above)
Bronze (20 or more prize winners with at least 1 Gold Award or above)
WCACA Outstanding Participation Award
Gold (The group with most number of participants)
Silver ( The group with the second most number of participants)
Bronze (The group with the third most number of participants)
Evaluation Criteria:
Theme Matching 10%、Composition 30%、Creativity 30%、Skill 30%
*Only Composition, Creativity and Skill will be counted in Chinese painting.

HK$110* for each artwork
Including Certificate and Medal ( prize winners only)
Administrative fee for return of artwork is HK$70, please refer to point 8 of Rules of Competition.
*3% of the entry fee will be donated to Orbis
How to Join:
1. Download the Application Form or Apply Online (Schools/educational institutions are welcomed to download the Group Application Form and Group Labels and submit via e-mail)
2. Complete the application form clearly and ensure all details are correct.
3. Bottom part of the Application Form (or Group Label) must be attached to the back of the painting.
4. Send a crossed cheque payable to "World Children Arts & Culture Association" or bank-in slip to "Unit T, 10/F, Everest Ind Centre, 396 Kwun Tong Rd, Kln, HK". Please indicate WCACA on the envelope.]

*For bank or ATM transfer, please send the bank-in slip together with the application form and painting otherwise the application will not be processed.

Rules of Competition:

Artwork must be two dimensional and drawn on paper no larger than A3 size (420 x 297mm), either in horizontal or vertical format.

Chinese painting on rice paper must be mounted before submission. The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any damage caused during storage or exhibition.

Each participant can submit more than one artwork for the competition. (ONLY the best entry will be awarded)

Artwork should be original without violation of copyright and not be exhibited before.

Participants should make sure all information in the application form, including Chinese and English name, age, entry section, address and e-mail address is correct as it will be used for issuance of result notice and certificate. Once submitted, an administration fee of HK$50 will be charged to change information on submitted application.

If there are 8 or more submissions from the same school/education institution, this school / education institution will be defined as “Group Participant”. All information related to the competition will be sent to this Group Participant but not individual participants.

Once submitted, all entry fee and paintings will not be refunded and returned. An administration fee of HK$50 will be charged to change information on submitted application.

Administrative fee for return of artwork is HK$70. (Winning entries of Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up will not be returned and will be kept by the Organizer. )

The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all parties concerned.

The judging process is carried out separately for Hong Kong and Overseas entries.

Winning certificates will be distributed on the Award Presentation Ceremony while the certificate of participation will be delivered by post.

Copyright of all submissions belongs to World Children Arts & Culture Association. The association reserves the right to use all or part of the artworks for publishing, releasing and exhibition purposes.

In case the submitted artwork infringes intellectual property rights, the participant accepts full liability for any legal actions, claims and costs resulting from such infringement.

World Children Arts & Culture Association reserves the right to change the rules and regulations without prior notification, please refer to the updated information from our website.

Upon submission of the application form, all participants accept the rules and regulations.

In case of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these rules and regulations of the competition, the Chinese version shall prevail.
